Graduates of the Oral Rehabilitation Specialization program at Universidad de Las Américas are highly competent, enterprising professionals with a global vision, equipped to perform accurate clinical diagnoses of oral pathologies and to design and implement personalized treatment plans in the field of oral rehabilitation.
Furthermore, graduates acquire comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge in prosthetic treatments involving both natural dentition and dental implants, supported by rigorous preparation in operative dentistry, prosthodontics, and implant-supported prosthetics. Grounded in current scientific knowledge, graduates develop the clinical skills and competencies required to detect, prevent, and treat sequelae and dysfunctions in patients requiring care, contributing to the oral health and well-being of the population. Graduates are also prepared to conduct autonomous research projects in clinical and epidemiological contexts.
Ultimately, graduates are expected to respond competently to the evolving challenges of their specialty, upholding strong ethical principles, honesty, and social responsibility. Given their social and entrepreneurial vision, graduates are equipped to practice in hospital settings, public and private clinics, and academic institutions, with the preparation to assume teaching roles in higher education.

All programs utilize the Brightspace platform to collect and assess student work and to compile data and evidence of student achievement. The resulting outcomes and their analysis, which focus on identifying areas for improvement, are presented in the program’s assessment report. In the graphic below, the most recent assessment period for each Program Learning Outcome (PLO) is indicated, along with the percentage representing the level of achievement of the expected performance standard for that PLO, based on the rubric used to evaluate student work.
Note: Multiple descriptions per PLO code reflect updates over time. All versions are shown to support historical and comparative analysis.
