Graduates of the Periodontics and Implantology Specialization program at Universidad de Las Américas are competent, enterprising, and globally minded professionals with expertise in periodontics, implantology, and oral surgery. Graduates are committed to serving society through excellence and a strong foundation in ethical values.
Furthermore, graduates demonstrate theoretical and practical knowledge that enables them to identify and address complex clinical problems in periodontics and implantology with a strong surgical component. Graduates apply up-to-date knowledge to develop the skills necessary for detecting, preventing, and treating dysfunctions and sequelae in patients requiring care, thereby contributing to population health and advancing clinical and epidemiological research in the field.
Ultimately, graduates are expected to respond effectively to the evolving challenges of their specialty, grounded in ethical principles, honesty, and social responsibility. Graduates’ social and entrepreneurial vision enables them to work in hospitals, clinics, and both public and private practices related to their area of specialization. In addition, their advanced training prepares them to engage in teaching activities in institutions of higher education.

Student Completion - provides information about graduation rates and graduation rates disaggregated by gender calculated through the 2021–2022 academic year, based on cohorts of new, first-time students, regardless of enrollment in the program's daytime or evening instructional delivery (if applicable).
All programs utilize the Brightspace platform to collect and assess student work and to compile data and evidence of student achievement. The resulting outcomes and their analysis, which focus on identifying areas for improvement, are presented in the program’s assessment report. In the graphic below, the most recent assessment period for each Program Learning Outcome (PLO) is indicated, along with the percentage representing the level of achievement of the expected performance standard for that PLO, based on the rubric used to evaluate student work.
