Graduates of the Master’s Program in Digital Law and Technological Innovation at Universidad de Las Américas are highly qualified, competent, and enterprising professionals with an international-global vision. Graduates possess in-depth knowledge of the social, political, and economic impact of digital technologies and technological innovations, as well as the analytical skills to interpret the complex interactions between the digital sphere, the economy, business, and the law.
Furthermore, graduates demonstrate strong theoretical-practical, technical, and legal competencies in the development and implementation of innovative strategies in the digital domain. Graduates propose comprehensive legal solutions grounded in national and international standards and regulations governing infrastructure, information and communication technologies, data governance and protection (including personal data), integrated security systems, digital service models, and technological innovations. Moreover, graduates critically evaluate the legal implications of emerging technologies such as 5G, the Internet of Things, big data, and artificial intelligence, applying a dynamic legal framework to propose improvements to the legal system that facilitate development and implementation, prevent potential abuses, and establish accountability mechanisms. Graduates are equipped to design the legal implementation of digital transformation and innovation processes in both public and private sector environments. Similarly, graduates formulate public policy proposals focused on the development and strengthening of digital ecosystems that foster trust, transparency, and legal certainty.

Graduates act in full respect of human rights and the prevailing legal framework, contributing to the development of inclusive and sustainable societies and demonstrating a firm commitment to strengthening the legal system, innovation, and the country’s digital economy.
Program enrollment: Program headcount totals the number of students enrolled yearly.

All programs utilize the Brightspace platform to collect and assess student work and to compile data and evidence of student achievement. The resulting outcomes and their analysis, which focus on identifying areas for improvement, are presented in the program’s assessment report. In the graphic below, the most recent assessment period for each Program Learning Outcome (PLO) is indicated, along with the percentage representing the level of achievement of the expected performance standard for that PLO, based on the rubric used to evaluate student work.
